
Kimberly Grady is the Chief Executive Officer for Grady Consulting & Associates, a New Orleans consulting firm that specializes in developing multi-million-dollar campaigns for non-profits and government organizations across North America. Kimberly conducts workshops and webinars on Grant Writing, Partnership Development, Prospect Research, Fundraising, Planned Giving, and many topics pertaining to nonprofit management. Her experience with working on multi-million-dollar campaigns has earned her notable awards and recognition, including an Award for Excellence from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Kimberly’s passion for working with nonprofits and serving the community is evident in her efforts and successful campaign results. Most recently, she assisted in the execution of a strategic plan with the Combined Federal Campaign, with the goal of raising $1.5 million for southern Louisiana and Gulfport regions. Kimberly worked with the Sisters of the Holy Family's annual Heavenly Host of Stars Gala and secured hundreds of sponsorships to help meet their annual goal.
In her hometown of San Diego, California, Kimberly is well-known for her remarkable achievements in the non-profit sector. Before relocating to the Greater New Orleans area in 2018, Kimberly served as Vice President of Community Development for San Diego Community Housing Corporation, an organization for whom she has worked for the previous 22 years. While managing a full staff in this role, Kimberly wrote grants and cultivated relationships to secure sizable, notable donations and met her annual multi-million-dollar fundraising goals.
With her skills and expertise, Kimberly secured a $1 million gift for a financial education program from a private donor for the state of California. She also implemented a $25 million dollar grant for California Sustainability and Multi-housing Initiative to install solar panels on affordable housing complexes to help families receive rental subsidies to lower their utility bills. These efforts earned her recognition by the San Diego Housing Federation for Resident Services and Excellent Programs.
These successes led to additional opportunities to serve the non-profit community in San Diego. Kimberly would later implement a 5-year strategic plan at Southwestern College Foundation to support higher education for low-income students. She also created and implement a $5 million, for a five-year grant for formerly incarcerated youth with the San Diego Probation Department. She also shared her Grant Writing and Budgeting expertise as a professor for the University of Phoenix.
Kimberly holds Masters Degrees in Business Management & Forensic Science, and a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science. She has attended San Diego State and the University of Phoenix. She received certifications from Indiana University in Nonprofit Management and Grant Writing from the Grantsmanship Center. She has served as a Board Member for Association of Fundraising Professionals, Mc Gill Charter School, and Southwestern College Foundation.
Kimberly is known as a passionate problem-solver who rolls up her sleeves and dedicates herself to achieving successful results at everything she does. She is married to Naval Chief Petty Officer John Grady with a 25 year son who is a recent graduate of Chicago State and she currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
